In this module, I have been taught to develop awareness of the nature and significance of cost control, cost planning and understood the roles of project teams towards fulfilling client needs. The effect of design variables in obtaining an economical design and to appreciate the role of Quantity Surveyor in pre-contract and post-contract stages.
Additionally, this module has taught me to identify the role and responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor in the overall development process and to relate the relationship between cost and design to a value outcome Also I have learned various method of pre-tender estimating in cost control and cost planning. I could produce an estimate at a pre-tender stage, cost plan based on historical data and S-curve for financial planning to a proposed project.
